Soil samplers

Soil samplers – how to use?

To take a soil sample you need soil samplers. Soil augers can be used as such, which are driven vertically into the ground and then turned, which means that the soil samples remain in the groove from which the contents are extracted into the packaging.

Tools for soil sampling

In order to examine the condition of the earth, many types of devices, otherwise known as soil samplers, are used. Among them we recognize:

  • Egner’s cane (hand auger) – the most popular soil corer, with which, after driving and turning, we can complete auger sampling. Finished with a handle, which makes it easier to operate.

  • Orchard cane – core sampler, which differs from Egner’s cane in the thickness of the pipe. It is wider, which allows for more comfortable use and taking larger soil samples.

  • Soil sampler probe – a probe for collecting soil samples, which differs from the Egner’s cane due to its construction – does not end with a handle – it looks like a soil sampling tube.

Each soil core sampler tool and accessory we sell are made of stainless steel. On request, we also make ground probes in unusual sizes.
